KRRIS - What Would You like to See?
The KRRIS methodology is proving very popular and has been downloaded by many
leading insurance brokers and underwriters. Downloads from a wide variety of
industries have also occurred. These range from general manufacturing to
airlines and financial services. In total several hundred downloads have taken
place.
The KRRIS web site has recently been revised and updated versions of the KRRIS
formats will be unloaded over the next few months. In total six versions will
be released covering:
-
Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals
-
Offshore Oil and Gas
-
Power Generation
-
Mining
-
Construction
-
General Property
Whilst the versions on website contain the basic KRRIS methodology, the
versions used by CTC in-house are being continued developed and contained a
number of additional features, such as:
-
An increased level of information on the presentation sheet
-
The ability to compare ratings from previous site surveys
-
The ability to determine the degree of improvement if risk improvement
recommendations are implemented
-
Additional reference information relating to the practice, standards, or case
histories
-
Colour coding of the rating boxes to give a clearer indication on specific
aspects.
We are always interested in feedback from users of KRRIS to ensure maximum user
friendliness and accuracy/precision in use. Whilst we cannot guarantee that all
comments received will be incorporated, we have managed to include most of the
general comments we have received to date. Whilst we are not anticipating major
revisions to the various versions of KRRIS in the immediate future all comments
will be kept for future reference. Ideas currently being considered include:
-
Additional printer ready versions of the Hardware, Software and Protections
worksheets.
-
An additional sheet ranking the individual elements so that weak and strong
features can be readily identified
-
